It has been about 19 years since I last wrote and I apologize for that. Mike and I are doing great and simply loving summer. We have been doing such fun things I forget to write about them. Last week my cute sister-in-law and friend, Liz, left for her mission in Portugal. We are so excited for her and know she will be a fabulous missionary. She gave one of THE BEST missionary farewells I have ever heard and wrote a beautiful blog post before she left. Here is a chunk of it:
Staring my future in the face is such a strange feeling that I can only accurately describe by comparing it to being on the top of a roller coaster; I've made it this far and there's no going back! Will I survive? Will I get sick? Will I be glad it's over, or want to hop right back on again?
Well, I suppose that there is only one way to find out...isn't she the best? I have never served a mission but I imagine that is exactly how I would feel. She is awesome.

On another note, Mike and I are once again headed to California next week... wait what? crazy right? We just found out last night that we could make it work so we are going! It is our nephew Ben's baptism and we couldn't be more thrilled to be there. We have been able to see their family quite a bit this summer and it has been so fun! Here is a picture of our last adventure in California at the Andrea Bocelli concert. We are excited for our next California adventure.
