We are the Derricks! Welcome to our little corner of the world wide web. We created this blog in 2012 as an online journal/scrapbook to write and post photos for memories' sake. We're just an average family trying to do our best at this grand adventure called life.
Mike and I met in his own backyard at our best friends' wedding. I was a bridesmaid. He was a groomsman. It was anything but love at first sight! BUT...after some perseverance, patience, and prayer we were married in June of 2012. We both graduated from Brigham Young University in 2014 and had our first son at the end of 2015.
Mike is a lover of: politics, cheese, history books, basketball, cooking, Bear Lake, writing, talking, and traveling.
Meg is a lover of: beautiful things, dancing, fresh flowers, beach vacations, singing, fitness, teaching, and anything pumpkin flavored.
Baby William was born in December of 2015 and continues to be the happiest baby on this planet. We love him dearly and are SO happy he joined our family.
Will is a lover of: dancing, laughing, EATING, the outdoors, new experiences, his family members, and people. No one loves life more than Will.
