Mexico 2016

once upon a time (it feels like a lifetime ago) Mike and I skipped off to Mexico for a romantic couples getaway! We went back and forth and back and FORTH about whether or not to bring baby Will with us. Ultimately we decided to let him stay home with his grandparents and i'm so glad we did! I love being with the little guy...but it is so good for us to have alone time (just m&m style). I was still exclusively nursing at the time though, so it was trickier said than done. I pumped/stored as much as i could before the trip and had to bring my trusty pump with us to Mexico🙈. Ever use a hand breast pump in a Mexican airport bathroom? oh yeah...it's as terrifying as it sounds. Also....i came home and my baby was giant--how can they grow so much in a week? and he was walking fluently (i know that's not a thing but you get what i mean) and it broke my heart💔

BUT...it was the best vacation ever. we woke up with no obligations, worked out together, ate at the most beautiful buffet by the pool, read our books by the ocean, ate our weight in tacos and guac, visited the spa, and just enjoyed each others company. Man....take me back😩

funny story. have you ever seen those cute photos on instagram/pinterest with the couples in their robes in the hotel room looking all cute and happy and in love and stuff. whelp...this was my miserable attempt and FAIL haha😂. poor mike-the things i put him through

you guys...it's super important for me to feel cute and comfortable in my swim suit. I have found the perfect fit for me! These sneaky peplum bottoms hide my mom pooch (don't judge-every mom knows what i'm talking about) and the top is high neck but laced up back! it is ultra flattering and I love it! the top is from Albion and the bottoms are Kortni Jean

really regretting not getting a spray tan before this trip. we were the whitest people in the whole resort 😂

this is my favorite suit of all time. OH I LOVE IT SO MUCH. i bought it in New York a couple of years ago but never was able to pull it out due to pregnancy. Kate Spade. light pink. a giant bow. Need i say more? Unfortunately it is discontinued...but i basically love all the suits from Kate Spade. HERE
