The Friday Five

Welp...I have been SWAMPED these past few weeks so I haven't done one of these, but I am jumping back on the horse!

1. Dance is officially over for the summer! We had our Spring Recital this past weekend and it was a huge success. I always have a love/hate relationship with the recital. It is so much fun....but a TON of work. like, so much work haha. From sewing costumes, designing programs, choreographing, making props, arranging lighting, editing music, putting together slideshows and so much more. I have been in full dance-mode all month trying to get everything ready! It was rather insane this year, but we did it! Mike is the biggest trooper ever and is always so supportive, and my cute mom and mama-in-law watched Will almost every day so I could work! Whew. we did it. I'm already so excited for next year! (but it will be good to have a little break).

one of my favorite photos ever. This was also me for the entire month of May while I tried to hold on to life.. Putting on a recital is-no joke- way more intense than finals week. 

2. We officially took possession of our house this week! It has been SO fun to visit every day. The housing market was so crazy when we bought that we had to make an offer right after we walked through it...and we hadn't been inside since! So we were VERY excited to visit again. It needs some work, but we are excited to get started. We are hoping to paint the walls and  kitchen cabinets, get new flooring, and replace light fixtures. whew...it will be a lot of work, but it will be awesome when it is all done! We had a little chick-fil-a picnic in the new house on Saturday and showed it to Will for the first time. He was super excited :) Let the painting begin!!

3. Willisms: He has started calling me "mom"...not "mama" or "mommy" just MOM. or "mom mom" its super cute.  He has recently become obsessed with his binky ("babink" as he says) he is only allowed to have it when he sleeps but he asks for it all the time lately. insert eye roll. Lately he wants to hang on EVERYTHING. He's crazy strong too so he can support his body weight--little monkey. lately, we've been trying to teach Will about empathy. Although he is too tiny to grasp such an abstract concept, we've been pointing out how other people might be feeling. Last night, Will saw a little boy around his age fall down. I told him that the boy was feeling sad and reminded Will about a time when he fell down and was sad too. Just then Will flung himself to the ground, and gingerly tapped his head on the floor. He then proceeded to fake cry.🙄😂🙈 He stood up and gave the little boy a hug as if to say, "it's okay. I understand how you feel. I fall down sometimes too". We all died laughing. It was so cute!! he's a good one, that William

4. Mother's Day was awesome this year! Mike made me french toast and had a little Tiffany's box waiting on my plate. He is such a sneaky man, that Michael. He got me a beautiful necklace and ring-so nice. We had a great day at church and were able to spend so much fun time together as a family. I feel so SO grateful to be a mama.

5. I actually don't have a 5th... so i'm not stressing about it and just going to post a bunch of other  cute photos of this kiddo.  also...I'm really excited for summer!!

I went to the dermatologist a few weeks ago and have a prescription that is really helping my face. Hoping my next "selfie" my face is crystal clear 🙏
