The Derrick Adventure: 6 Months

YOU: can sit all by yourself now and LOVE it. started crawling on your 6 month birthday! (heaven help us). are constantly jumping. haven't hit the stranger-danger stage yet. love new experiences/places/people/things. went on your first flight this month. felt sand and the ocean for the first time. are sleeping for longer stretches (9+ hours WOOT WOOT). are not very happy about going down for naps. tried your first "foods". are still nursing. moved into the "big bathtub". are growing out of your clothes too fast. are such a charmer. say "dadadadadada" all day long. roll over during the night to sleep on your tummy. still don't like to cuddle....but i'm working on that ;) are the best baby on the planet. but really...thanks little dude for easing us into the wild world of parenting.

I: survived the month of May...but really. loved our spring dance recital (even though it was stressful). started working out this month (only took me 6 months to heal). am healed from my carpel tunnel!! (a miracle! and I don't have to get surgery now--yay!!). love the warm weather. am looking forward to the craziness of June. am sad about my brother leaving on a mission (happy sad..). am officially "one of those moms". love being close to family. am the whitest human on the planet (any recommendations on great self-tanners?). need friends.

Mike was such a sweetheart-for mother's day he got me these gorgeous earrings in honor of our William (his birthstone).

we had the wonderful opportunity to fly to California for my nieces baptism! Will experienced his first flight and time at the beach.

holy moly i'm white.....Will was such a champ at the beach. He didn't mind his feet in the freezing ocean and had no desire whatsoever to eat the sand.

my brother-in-law (who is a storyboard artist for Disney) sketched Will during breakfast one morning! he is so talented!!

one of these things is not like the other... haha it's crazy that will and his cousins come from the same family tree!

I can't even begin to say how much work it is to put on a recital....BUT SO WORTH IT! Love these cuties

I'm always jealous of mom's whose babies fall asleep in random locations--it's so cute! Will just loves his crib. BUT I finally caught him asleep in his stroller. I will never not be obsessed with his chubby feet.
