The Derrick Adventure: 7 Months

You: have turned into such a little man this month. love to explore. went on your first road trip. think it's hilarious to splash me when you're taking a bath. pull yourself up to stand. can now manage solid food and love to try bits off our plates. love being mobile. have beautiful blonde hair. have the HARDEST time sitting through church (and it will probably only get harder haha). make monkey noises ("ooooh oooh"). can sit up mid crawl. love playing with your cousins/aunt/uncles. are our sunshine boy...you make every situation brighter.

I: FINALLY feel like myself again! want 9,000 more babies...but really. am losing hair like no tomorrow (post partum hair loss is REAL-I'm going to be bald by next month at this rate). live for date night with my Mike--special thanks to our awesome families for babysitting each week. am loving the summer. am hoping to pick up a new hobby. am still nursing and so proud we have made it this far--hi five baby! survived my first tornado while in Illinois...my worst fear. need a new good book. enjoy outings as a family. love being a mom...I really do!

My family went on an epic church history road trip in June. It was SO fun and definitely a trip we will never forget! The three of us flew out to meet them for a week. It was a great "last hurrah" before my brother left for his mission. Will did awesome-- he deserved a travel baby of the year award! We visited 10 states in all and had a marvelous time!
