I cannot believe I have made it this far. It is officially the FINAL COUNTDOWN (insert music here). Mike and I have had this song stuck in our heads for a couple weeks and it is totally true... ready or not baby, here you come. I am 30 weeks--going by our original due date of December 4th. BabyD is a larger baby so they think he will come a few weeks early (crossing our fingers). However, I feel doomed to go past my due date, so I am mentally sticking with December 4th. A lot has happened since my last 'bumpdate' so I will give you a few updates...
Symptoms...
The second trimester really was as wonderful as everyone said it would be. No nausea, less tired, cute little bump--I loved it! Even though I'm just starting into the 3rd trimester I am already starting to experience some new symptoms. My back kills:/ I started teaching dance again and I think I herniated a disk or something because every time I walk there is a sharp shooting nerve pain in my spine. I really need to get it checked out, but I'm afraid she will tell me it is just normal! Trying to stay positive though and be thankful for my blessings--I can still move really well. I am driving down with Mike everyday to Provo to study on campus and it is a HOOT. You would think I grew another arm. Seriously people... have you never seen a pregnant woman before? haha I joke with Mike that I need to make a T-shirt that says "hello. yes I am pregnant" BUT, giving all BYU students the benefit of the doubt maybe they are just blown away by how hardcore I am..giant belly, trekking across campus with my massive backpack. or I just look silly. Probably the latter:)
Muscle cramps. Lately I will wake up in the middle of the night it wrenching pain from a charlie horse in my calf. It literally feels like my leg is on fire! It totally freaks Mike out because I yell out (not on purpose) and he massages it until I go back to sleep. Really weird symptom, but it said it was normal in my "what to expect" app. So there you go!
Swelling. I really have been so fortunate in this category, but lately my finger and feet get puffy at the end of the day. I think this cooler weather will help in that category. COME ON FALL--I AM READY FOR YOU!!
Best moments lately...
We finally moved the crib and the rocking chair into the nursery! We moved Mike's desk out into the living room (behind the couch) and had to do some rearranging, but it all fits. It is SO fun to walk by that cute little room and see a crib and rocking chair in there. I am really starting to get the nesting bug, so I hope I can contain myself from going crazy with decorating, cleaning, organizing.
Mike celebrated his 26th birthday last last week and it was so fun:) His birthday was on a Thursday this year, so I woke up early to decorate the house and make breakfast while he was at basketball. He had to hurry off to work, but when he got home we went to dinner at Valter's Osteria (Mike's favorite fancy restaurant). It was a very fun week. I got him this fancy Brooks Brothers coat for his birthday this year (turns out they have a 75% off sale every labor day...who knew!?)

Hardest moments lately...
I have been feeling a little down about the weight gain part of pregnancy. Yes, I know it's normal and good, but it doesn't make it any less hard. Watching my body morph is so exciting/crazy/miraculous/wonderful/scary all at the same time! However, as my bump out front continues to grow, so does my bump in the back haha;) oh the joys of pregnancy! Despite my insecurities about body image...it is seriously such a miracle. OUR BODIES MAKE LITTLE HUMANS. Sometimes I just think about that and it blows me away. God is so good. His ways are so amazing and just--right. It feels so right. I need to remember that when I get down about the little muffin top peaking over my snug jeans:)
whelp... I will just end with some random pictures I've taken lately (mostly documenting the bump). We are all good here, so blessed with a healthy baby and pray that he continues to grow strong. God is good and so are His ways. Pregnancy is not for sissies...but we can do hard things!

| watching me teach dance has got to be entertaining these days...but I'm just happy that I can still move! Hoping to keep it up through the end of November (fingers crossed) |

You look great!! I love the painting and the "over the top" ways you told your families. Everything should include a party and something from Etsy, right? ;) I think so. I'll cross my fingers you can keep teaching til Nov too! :)
